Tied to same points , Inter Milan faces an uphill task against River Plate of Argentina in the final group matches tonight in Group E , at Lumen Field Stadium in Seattle , USA at the on going FIFA Club World Cup ,2025 edition
The UEFA Champions League losers got up to a winning start against Urawa Red Diamonds , while their opponents River Plate did same with a draw against Sergio Ramos Monterrey in Match Day two.but still leads in Group E

Charismatic and newly appointed Inter Milan , Coach , Cristian Chivu of Roumania got to a winning start in his second match in charge , against Urawa Red Diamonds , after a frustrated first match against Monterey with a boring goaless draw , but Urawa was not so as they got a win with a hairs breath after Urawa took the lead at half time .
They were ratltled by Urawa Red Diamonds 11th minute opener till the break when they could find the leverler via captain Lautaro Martinez before two substitutes combined for a bedlam induced winner against the less fancied Japanese team.
A combined effort by nineteen year old Francesco Pio Exposito and Valentin Carboni who nonchalantly walk the ball into the far net for the winner , this outing the Nerazzuris fate into their hands for the next round of 16, as Inter won for the first time afre the champions league capitulation .
Inter clear with two points against Monterey and four before than already eliminated Urawa ,

No doubt a score draw will take them to the round of 16 while an outright win will propel them as group winners ,which is their pre tournament billing .
Their coming first in group E will automatically place them in a block buster encounter against Borrrusia Dortmund who are presently occupying the second spot in group F, but Cristian Chivu is not pre occupied with their next opponents for now as their qualification is not yet guaranteed .

River Plate did all they could to beat Monterey but their efforts did not yield the required result .
All the same , Marcello Gallardo s men knows that a draw of win guaranteed them safety to the next round of 16 , even a defeat will not alter their top two qualification , provided Monterey fails to beat Urawa in their match .
River with their good football statistics ha ung list only one match out of 19 gives them an added advantage and confidence , the sour point they have against Italian opposition is their loss to Juventus in their last outing in 1996 campaign when their present Coach, Marcello Garlado was on the bench in that match .

Christian Chivu needs to handle the Inter infirmary as most of the first team players still injury list who also missed their triumph against Urawa and are unlikely to be part of today match .
While other players like Dumfries , Galhanohlu and Freteris are gradually recuperating from their injury will get a starting shirt for the show down in Seattle .
A recall is likely for well rested players like Henrickh Mikitayan and Alexander Bastoni , same with Sabistien Exposito the elder brother of Franceso will continue to fill the vacuum for Thuram in the attack .
