The Portuguese club , Benfica will only qualify for the next round if they can avoid defeat in their last group games against fellow European outfit , Bayern at the Bank of America Stadium tonight .
They pummelled Auckland City 6-0 as well got a draw from their other second group match against Boca Juniors of Argentina which gave them four points .
They need a draw against Bayern Munich who have already scaled through to the next round of 16 with a whooping demolision of Auckland City 10-0 plus their second group games win against Boca Juniors .

The Premira Liga side humbled minnows , Auckland City with an emphatic 6-0 in their first match , though they only got their first goal in that match in the extra time of the first half , then the floodgates opened in the second half with a barrage of goals counting to five, making it six in a horrible afternoon for the New Zealanders , who despite their good outing in their domestic New Zealand league as well as the growing football revolution in the Asian country , which is a far cry from heir traditional British sports of Rugby which they are known for , for years .
History has been made by Bruno Lage their Coach whose exploits in Benfica have seen the club who have not participated in the current Club World Cup , despite appearing in the previous Inter Continental format twice , where they lost the two matches played in those tournaments .

The Bavarians , Bayern Munich , emerged victorious against Boca Juniors of Argentina ,2-1 last Saturday , becoming the first team to beat a South American team in 10 matches in the Club World Cup.
Bayern registered 11 shots and four on target against Boca Juniors while in the Bundesliga last season , Vincent Kompany s team mustered 19 attempts and 7.5 shots on the average per game .
The Bundesliga giants needs only a piont to top their group , which means they will meet the runners up of either Group B, D, F or H.
The Bavarians have a massive football record against Benfica with their 7 games unbeaten run , winning six and scoring 20 goals
They have not seen defeat in their nine fixtures against the Eagles ,and registering six wins where they scored three or more goals in five out of their last seven matches .

Ahead of today’s encounter , Bayern boss , Vincent Kompany is likely to select a strong first X1 , and would like to top the group too.with Jossip Stanisic and Jonathan Tah to form the rear guard .
Leon Goreszka who partnered , Joshua Kimmich in their first game will likely repeat and man the mid field pack for the Bavarians this Tuesday .
Thomas Muller is ruled tonight with an injury , so Michael Olise , Jamal Musilia and Kingsley Conan will play behind Harry Kane who starts as top 9 as usual .

The Eagles , centre back , Antonio Silva and former Man City defender , Nicolas Ortamendi will form the rear guard for Benfica

Predictions .

With victory in their mind ,and almost half complacent ,against the Eagles , Vincent Kompany is likely to substitute his players early in the second stanza to avoid injuries ahead of the round of 16 matches , but that will benefit , Benfica who are out to win against their fellow Europeans
It’s really going to be a tough match but the Bavarians most likely will score manyv goals tongit same with the Eagles .
