The two under achievers or *also ran* teams in European Football lock horns in a bitter rivalry tonight , when Gunners welcomes PSG in th first leg semi finals , in their recently acclaimed fortress , the Emirates where they downed and humbled 15 times winners of the champions league ,Real Madrid 3-0 and also went ahead to reduce Real to a mere village team at the Bernabau 1-2 in the reverse fixture , sealing a scarecly unbelievable score line of 5-1 in both legs , hence ending with ease the dominance of Carlo Ancelotti s men in the European championship .

While Real Madrid fans were waiting for a sweet revenge against the Gunners in the reverse fixture at the Bernabau , Arteta and his army had one thing in mind to get rid of the dominance of the Old war horse, Real Madrid , from the UEFA Champions League and they did exactly that with a repeat defeat on their own soil 2-1
Without their regular strikers , Arsenal defiled all football pundits prediction before the Match and destroyed what remained of Carlo Ancelotti s back yard army in European football .

The Gunners reached this stage of the compettion for the first time in 2009 when they also eliminated the 15 times champions Real Madrid in the quarter finals,but was beaten in the semi finals by Manchester United. While PSG out played two premiership sides before thet got to this stage since 2019/20 when they last got a semi finals berth. They have only appeared in the finals only once which they lost .
Ars enal watched helpleslesy last Sunday when Liverpool humbled Tottenham 5-1 to clinch the English Premieshil title , while PSG was crowned the Lique 1 champions in early April. What of contrast of fortune for the two side yet to lift the much coveted trophy in Europe .

Luckily , this is the first leg semi finals , if not we could have experiemced a long night stretching into extra time , but today’s result at the end of hostilities in North London will decide that.
PSG is most likely to get a draw tonight as both sides are at par in this match
