The Lorne Stars of Liberia takes the center stage once again as the first international break of 2026 World Cup Qualifier , Africa , when they welcome the Eagles of Carthage of Tunisia at the Samuel Doe stadium , in Freetown this Wednesday
The Lone Stars occupies the third position on their table in Group H, with two wins and seven points and a loss and a draw , while their opponents , Tunisia occupies the first position with maximum 10 points from three wins and a draw .

Liberia look up to a fresh start after losing out to qualify for the Afcon 2025 in Morocco
With their renewed hope and optimism after a recent FIFA season in their Favour against Equatorial Guinea , after defeating Malawi 1-0 they also lost by the same margin to Equatorial Guinea but a FIFA ruling turned the tides in their Favour , saying the Equatorial Guinea fielded an ineligible player and ruined that Liberia won the match 3-0 .

The Lone Stars drew with Nambia in a hard fought thriller before edging out Sao Tome and Principe 1-0 to reinforce their hope of a World Cup ticket in North America in 2026
Liberia whoo is ranked 145th in the FIFA rankings faces an uphill task whey the face the Carthagininas who are 93 places above them , before turning their attention to bottom placed ,Sao Tome and Principe
If history is anything to go by , the Lone Stars will get a boost with their 2015 Afcon win against Tunisia 1-0 to over come the stiff opposition from the North African tonight .

Tunisia , who have already secured a place in the Nations Cup Morocco 2025 will like to maintain the status quo ante kin their quest to qualify for next year’s World Cup , with an out right win against the West Africans.

Tunisia have not lost any of their matches during this World Cup qualifier s having won three and drew three and they look forward to tightening their grip in their lead in Group H .

A 24 man squad have been called to the cmsp ahead of today s thriller ,comprising 13 foreign based and 11 local league players and the 3 goal keepers who are also local league footballers .
Also ,Liberia will be without first team players like Mo Sangare , Emmanuel Ernest .
They seem not to have a major or minor injiry worries , except the absentee players including their first choice goal tender , Mohammed Kamara and Brem Soumaroro
Surprisingly , Augustine Otis who have been outsranding in his club in Egypt ,Tersana FC was recalled for his football artistry in the North African nation , where he has netted 11 goals lately . A rewards we must say for his football prowess after five years of absense in from Lone Stars .

Notable changes have also been made in the Cartaginian squad , following the appoinment t of a new helms man , Trablesi with four fresh changes .
Also.Firas .Chaoiti.weren.recalled to the team.after .fours years of absense ,.while old.legs who were involved in the last Nations Cup in Ivory Coast , Anis Slimane and Naim Silti got the nod for a come back .

Predictions .

Tunisia seem to be the favourites to win today qualifier , but drawing from home support for the West African Nation , Liberia night create a bit of a problem , as football is big business as well as a passion for most African s .
