The extra terrestrial  Dallas Stadium in Texas, will be the back drop of an enticing round of 32 fifa world cup 2026  cracker on Tuesday, when the Elephants of Ivory Coast face the Vikings of Norway.

The West Africans definitely will pose a big problem for the Vikings if they  take them for granted, they cane to this tournament  on the  back of a four game winning streak  and carried same momentum against Ecuador that came second in the qualifying campaign of the COMMBOMOL  , ahead of giant Brazil that came a distant fifth place , and beat  Ecuador  1-0 in their opening match .

However they came up short  against Germany when they lost 2-1 via a last minute winning goal by  German  , Deniz Undav whose scored a brace   in Toronto, Canada

The Elephants were really very competitive against the Germans which will see them through with ease , as they are now  to face weaker Euorpean opposition

They rounded their Group E campaign by downing debutants and minnows Curacao with a brace ,  2-0 , from Nicholas Pepe who scored in  either  half  to complete a near 80% success in the group games .

Norway ,  AKA  the Vikings is appearing in their first  World Cup after 28 years,they last appeared in France 1998 , with their play  maker and prolific strikee in the English Premiership , Man City  ,Erling Hallaand , who led their campaign so far till this round of 32 , it will be a beauty to watch tonight’s encounter, when Halland will like to unleash his premiership , pukka play , precise shots on target and football prowess to reduce the Elephants  near falt footed rear guard to a mere village team , lets see if he can renact his scoring form where he has netted four goals in two matches out of 8 goals the Vikings have scored so far .

Halland scored a brace against the Lions of Mesopotamia, Iraq , who had a good run of play against Norway in the first stanzer of the game ., the score line 4-1 did not reflect the good game of rhe first half the lions had on the night .

Rhe Vikings have not been the best team so far in this tournament, as  they have kept only one  clean  sheet with a draw against Switzerland on March 31  in  their last 10 matches , while their defensive vulnerability will welcome more goals from the Teranga Lions in tonights encounter.,  Erling Hallannd sat out against France and they lost  terribly ,4-1 , this means without him it will be a bit difficult for them to have progressed to this stage with ease. As they score , they also concede cheaply with their rear guard succumbing  to easy pressure .

The Lions of Teranga will not be with some of their star players due to injury concerns , defensive stalwart , with a hamstring injury as he sat against in their Thursday win against Curacao , ,Wilfred Singo the Galatasaray star is yet to recover.

He is a doubt for Tuesday match , while rising star defendee Ousamane Diomande and Odilon  Kosounou are perfect substitute for him to start  at the heart of the rear guard ., flanked by Guela Doue as well as Ghislan Konan.

The Vikings   right  back  and  , Borrrusia Dortmund defende r   Julian Rayserson  is a doubt to start for.

In his place , Benfica midfielder ,Fredrick Aursnes is likely to shift to the right back , with Patrick Berg and Sande Berg together with Martin Oddegaurd  , Gunners top  play maker   at the center of the mid field for the Vikings .

Erling Hallannd will still the attacking options for Norway , with hope to add more goals to his kitty as he has four goals from two matches .in this World  Cup  2026 and also firing his country to the next round of 16.

Predictions

 No need to praise him , my only candid advise to the Lions of  Teranga is to make sure to mark out Erling Hallannd in this match, if they can hold him very that will good enough for their rear men , of not tehy may repeat what they did to another set of Lions of Mesopotamia, Iraqi national team.

The Elephants may posses good striking options with high rsing ,  Diomande  and Pepe to threaten Norway , bit i must say they must mark Halland very well.

The match can go either way, this is football , but they will definitely concede more goals even if they win of they cannot manage Hallannds scoring  abilities

The game is also likely to enter extra time as well as sudden death penalties of we may go by previous results of other round of 32 , imagine Morocco   and Paraguay dumping out European big weights , Germany and Hollands in similar fashion of penalty shootout .

Its a lesson as well as an upset in this World Cup, 2026 .

Ivory  Coast   1-  3  Norway  Or   2-2 and   1-2 .
