The Super Eagles of Nigeria will today take on the Panthers of Gabon in one of the semi finals berth of the 2025 FIFA World Cup qualifications play offs at the Prince Moulay Hassan Stadium , Rabat in far away Morocco.
The two sides needs only two wins to secure a place for the 2026 Fifia World Cup , with a winner today to face either the Indomitable Lions of Cameroun or DR Congo for the Inter Continental Play offs in March next year .
The Super Eagles chances for qualifications for the 2026 Mundial in USA, Mexico and Canada was boosted when Fifa deducted three points from South Africa , Group C leaders for fielding an ineligible player .
The sanctions was not enough to qualify the Super Eagles , as the Bafana , Bafana sealed up their last group games in Group C with another emphatic win against Rwanda.
Nigeira needed an outright win against Benin Republic and a four goal advantage to qualify as second best in the group as well as for a spot for the play offs today in Rabat .
Nigeira got 17 points from 10 matches ,with a goal difference of plus seven with four wins five draws and one defeat .
